Halloween: Can a Ghost See You Wave Your Hand?

On October 23, 2010, I attended a paranormal investigation at Berry Hill Plantation or Berry Hill Resort and Conference Center. I was invited in the capacity of a writer. I came to observe, participate if I could get away with it (I had no idea what to expect), and write about it if the experience was worthy. What resulted was fantastic.

Along were myself, Audrey of WLUS 98.3 FM, Oxford, NC Mike N Audrey Most Music Mornings and a reporter from the South Boston, VA News and Record, the local newspaper and three paranormal groups from North Carolina.

One group, NCHAGS, I was familiar with. I had written about them before, but as paranormal investigators, I had never met them. Two other paranormal groups attended, The Heritage Hunters Society (THHS) and GHOSTS of Raleigh. Keep in mind, each paranormal group is different, in the field for a different reason, investigates in their own unique way and catalogs the evidence obtained for you to decide for yourself. They are not in this for fame or entertainment. Some of them like the factual documentaries, but none of them even watch the entertainment industry in the field of ghost hunting. Such trickery has given real ghost hunters, paranormal investigators, paranormal observers and paranormal researchers a lack luster name. I am positive of the goals of NCHAGS and I am learning quickly about THHS and GHOSTS of Raleigh. NCHAGS seeks truth without manipulation and to share the information with those who also seriously research the subject. Ghosts of Raleigh rules out most of their own evidence. THHS is enthusiastic and will delve hard into all evidences and will eventually isolate the indisputable evidence from the simply interesting. And it is for this reason that this writer follows the investigations of this set of paranormal people. I want to say this – I spent several years following NCHAGS. I did not attend an investigation until this one on 10/23/10. I communicated with them – each one of them – individually. I respectfully submit that I got to know them as people. They are not scams. They are not entertainment though they seek to entertain you with REAL stories without hype. They investigate for the truth.

So I want to encourage two things. Read my article about the investigation at Berry Hill Resort and Conference Center in South Boston, VA. The article was published by the News and Record of South Boston, VA. The second article is simply more detail about the investigation published on AssociatedContent. com. EVPs, pictures and video are available on the different groups websites: NCHAGS, THHS, GHOSTS of Raleigh, on THHS’s Network Site, or on YouTube: NCHAGS, The Heritage Hunters Society: Check them out.
